Need Another Measurement

Hey guys
If one of you has a chance can you measure how tall the tabs that the core support sets on are.
This is for a 55-59.

If you mean the flat bracket the core sits on mine is 1-3/8" at the firewall side, 1-11/16" at the bumper side. At the center where radiator sits it is just a little shy of 1-5/8". The frame slopes down towards the front at that location.

Dims I gave are from top of frame rail.

The v-8 bracket is different from the I-6. There is a exrta piece of steet metal on the v-8 that moves core suport back, thus making it shortter. You need to get that messurement off a truck that has the suport in the spot that your putting yours in.

My frame has a chevelle clip on it and the core support is all the way forward.
I am making my own tabs and just needed to know how tall the originals were.

OOO... then you will have to do like I did, and hange the finders on the cab, then hold the core suport where it gos on the inter fenders to get your messurement.

Here's what I did to the front of my frame to mount the core. I just need to make the tabs to set it on and be able to adjust it.

I have a Camaro clip, my tab is 1 3/8" on the flat side, 1 3/8 on the vert at an angle and 2 1/4 on the top where the radiator sit.
Now looking down at the tab, flat size where the rivets are is 2 3/4" and the top is 2" wide.

I pulled my Factory Assy Manual and here are the critical dimenisons you need.

The radiator support is in the same location for six and v8s. The radiator on v8s is set closer to the firewall with offset metal brackets.

The center of the support bracket is 47.50 inches from the center of the front cab mount bolt hole. the top of the bracket is .22 inches below the top of the level portion of the frame.

Are you look at the 58-59 book? the 55 -57 is is a different spot about 4" closer to the fire wall on the v-8.

My book is titled 55-59. My frame measurements match those I posted. I did find in the V8 RPO section that it appears the mounts are father towards the firewall, but there are not any dimensions. It looks like they were set by the sheet metal extension and maybe drilled on the assy line?
