6/8 drop
Is a 6/8 drop a modified 5/7 or 4/6 or someone sells a 6/8.How do i get that much drop with out bags.

well I'm doing a 5.5/7- which is 2.5" drop spindles and 3" drop springs up front, and 5" drop springs and 2" drop blocks out back. From what I gathered, this is just about as far down as I could go static, and still be able to turn the front wheels. lol - will be riding on 15x7s and 225/75r15 all 4 corners

Im doing a 4.5/7. 2.5" drop spindles and 2" springs in the front. The rear will be 2" drop trailing arms from Porterbuilt and 5" springs. It hsould be on within a few weeks and Ill get pics and let you know. hopefully the 255/40/20 front tires will work.

for a 6-8 you'll want 3" spindles or 3" drop control arms but warn you they almost twice the price as spindles, 3 drop springs or stock springs cut 1 1/2 coils off unless there really week then just a coil, and if you already have drop springs you can cut those to, for the rear a flip kit, drop shackles, and either the lack of leafs, or large about of leafs should get you down to 8 in the rear

ive always ran super low slatic drops, i never use spindles on super low drops, just drop LCA and springs(cut of course)

Sorry i didn't mention but yes the year is a 83 and my dad has a 85.thinking of a alternative route before i try to bag her.Talked to Nate and airride tech,but i like the stance of that yellow and white c10 done by Hills Hotrods.Will i have a problem running 20's and will it handel very nice or just ride rough?

A 255-35-20 would be 27" tall & would be much better but IMO the sidewall is too short for everyday action. Handling & ride quality are very subjective. A major factor is the quality of the parts & what compromises (if any) you're willing to live with. I would say my truck rides like a lowered f-body; there's worse out there & there's better. It's acceptable for my taste since I like a firm/controlled ride vs. the floating on a cloud/unstable feeling.

if you run good quality parts and shocks you should be fine and a also a tire larger than rubber band helps for shocks I wouldn't run toxics there bouncy and don't last very long
