Rear coil

I just bought a pair of new McCaughy's rear coil springs, they stand about 12inches with no load. Any idea how much they would lower a 71 C10. I picked them up at a swap meet is afternoon for $35.

Re: Rear coil

Sounds pretty tall.
I guess you could always jack up your truck (and let the rearend hang down),... and measure your springs on your truck for comparison.

Do you have any kind of part number on them?

Re: Rear coil

My stock original rear springs measure 12.5"-13" tall; more like 13".

Re: Rear coil

These are quite a bit lighter spring, not as heavy coil.
