So i bought this and it runs great street and offroad but is anybody else running it on a 350 by chance? cuz only when I really mash on the pedal from a stop only from a stop it will bog and then catch up sometimes it just bogs and dies. Anyone that knows anything about it that would be awesome thanks guys

If you go to Holley's web site it give you tuning tips. Sounds like you are not getting enough gas when you mash the go peddle. They also have a tech assist contact point it's free so don't be bashful about using it!

Did you buy it new or used? I just ask because if it is used it may be the accelerator pump diaphragm is torn, or some one messed with the adjustment. It is on the bottom of the front float bowl with a lever and a spring. Thats what it sounds like to me but 87bob is right check out holley's website. Lots of good info and they are the experts.

i've had 2 street avengers on my truck both 670s and they seamed fine just sounds to me like some tuning, make sure the needles are clean too, it might cause some of that hesitation.

It is new. Honestly I don't know how to tune it like float bowls etc... any help?

Let me preface this by saying i am no expert. However I have gone through something similar with my street avenger. I was told to always start with the float adjustment. If you contact Holley they might be able to tell you if your accelerator pump shot is right or if you need a larger one.

QUESTION My vehicle has a stumble from a dead stop. What can I do to cure this?
ANSWER The most common cause of a stumble is not having an adequate accelerator pump shot. The first thing to do is to look at the discharge nozzle and make sure you are getting a good strong pump shot. If not then you need to inspect the pump diaphram for a hole or tear. You will also need to make sure that the pump passage is clear from any trash or debris. First you will need to check the adjustment on the pump. To do this you will open the throttle all the way (WOT). Push the pump arm lever down and then adjust the pump override spring to obtain .015" clearance between the pump arm and lever. If you are having a stumble and no black smoke out the tailpipe then you will need to increase the shooter size. If it stumbles and you are getting black smoke from the tailpipe then it will be nessasary to decrease the shooter size.


QUESTION How do I adjust the fuel level on my carburetor?
ANSWER To adjust the fuel level you will need to take out the sight plug in the side of the fuel bowl and with it running Loosen the lock screw on top of the fuel bowl and turn the nut clockwise to lower the level or counter clockwise to bring up the level you want it to be at the bottom of the sight hole

just be carefull as if it is set too high you will have gas running out the sight hole. be sure to have some rags handy

After you jetted it down how did it run? pretty good off starts and everything? And did you have anything done to your 350? what size jets you end up runnin?

to be honest im not sure what size jets i used it has been a while since since i sold that truck but yea i had a agressive cam .30 over forged pistons forged crank super comp hooker headers long tube thats all i can think off the top of my head but that thing ran like hell no bogging down on hills or anyting like that and when you mashed it it went with no problems

Dude wow sounds like a sick machine too bad ya sold it. Maybe ill readjust the floats and jet it nd see what that gets me. Thanks for the help

no problem man yea it was a sick truck but i had to get into something different want to build a blown motor or something with that kind of power i hope everything works out for you
