Too much work?

Hey, my neighbor has a full convertible Blazer 4wd with a 90 suburban front clip. It has about zero rust and the top is in great shape. The problem is that I prefer the 73ish style front end and don't want a 4 wheeler. How much work would I be in for to make it 2wd and switch the front clip? Is it worth getting for $500? I don't think it runs, but that doesn't really matter. Input, please!

seeing as how the cab was designed for a 73-80 front clip it will be a easy swap back.

the 2wd stuff will be different, you will have to drill a lot of holes in ****ty spots and cut a lot of rivots, it the end it will all fit but its a chore.

He wont have to drill holes. They should already be there on a 73. They stopped putting them in the frames after 82 when 2wd was no longer an option on a K5. You will have to cut the rivits holding the 4wd stuff on, and the whats holding the 2wd stuff on the other truck. It should be a bolt on after that though.

This is what I have been able to find as I've been researching my swap. I have an 87 I'm converting to 2wd.

This is an 82+ truck as well so he had to drill the holes too. My build thread is in my sig, but I havent started the suspension swap yet.

That's a good price for that blazer. And to turn it back into a 73-79 front end is easy, just takes time. Now on your front end to make it a 2wd yo uwill have to buy you ca 2wd truck and take the crossmember out and put it into the blazer and will will also have to chang the hangers out back, the 4wd and 2wd are not the same.
