Remote choke conversion?
my carb has the orginal style remote choke...thats the one with the little heat coil. the unit mounts to the manifold and connects to the carb with a rod.
the problem? i converted to voteck heads, and intake....no place to mount the coil. i know they make an electric conversion, but it mounts.....to the intake manifold. with out making a custom bracket, has anyone found a way to convert these to elelctric?

Re: Remote choke conversion?
might be easier to make it manual choke and just hide the knob under the dash below the key...

Re: Remote choke conversion?
Some A-hole drilled holes in the dash on the left side for toggle switches that don't even do anything (wires dangle doing nothing) So, i just put my manual choke there. I got a nice chrome knobbed one, so if you're not familiar with the truck, it actually looks like it could be stock. Anyway, it's better than a blue nasty toggle switch. /end rant
