Brakes on 1971 K20 Cheyenne
Just picked this up (3rd owner). It has "soft" brakes (nothing would lock up). Previous owner changed master cylinder, he stated the brakes have always been soft. Calipers, pads and rotors are in good shape. But I will replace. We started at the flex hoses ( what a bugger to remove). Any suggestions?

Did the PO bench bleed the master cylinder? I'd try that and bleeding the system.

i'd try flushing all the old fluid out of the system for a start//dont forget to clamp the pin on on combination valve for proper bleeding results. i'd also check the rear brakes especially the self adjuster to make sure it rotates freely for adjustment then adjust shoes so there is slight drag
