My Buddy has a 2000 1/2 4x4 with Auto & is looking for a Tranny for it, What Years will interchange?

Rick,I don`t even know what`s in those trucks...4L60E or 4L80E?If so,any of those would work from whatever other truck that has them.My`91 Suburban has the big one.There may be varying configurations,though,as for as electronics which I know as much about as a good pumpkin pie recipe.

I'm guessing 99-02 but not 100% for sure there. In 99 GM went from the 5.7 Vortech to the 5.3 Vortech so I doubt the older transmissions will work. I bet they used different wiring and connectors. But I could be wrong.
