Re: What Lowering Spindle brand?
Where exactly did you have a problem?
Lower control arm where? Caliper clearance? 8" wheel? |

Re: What Lowering Spindle brand?
my problem wasn't so much with the wheels straight like you have them. cuz i can fit a finger or two between the control arm and the wheel as well. my main problem was when i turned the wheels all the way to one side or the other.

Re: What Lowering Spindle brand?
right. i wish i could afford new wheels with a larger backspacing to avoid this problem, but i had to make what i have work.

Re: What Lowering Spindle brand?
you want wheels with less back spacing. you should go out and buy like a 1/4 in spacer. it will move the wheel out some and should keep the wheel farther away from the a arms.

Re: What Lowering Spindle brand?
then i'd want to space out the rear wheels since they sit in more than the fronts. i've always wondered why GM did that

Re: What Lowering Spindle brand?
2.5" McGaughy spindles with no mods and a 1" Bell Tech front drop spring with 1/2 a coil cut off. I don't have any issues with rubbing, touching, or anything else with a set of 8" Rallys.
AND...I bought them off of Ebay for less than $200 shipped Last edited by nlped; 12-05-2009 at 08:39 PM. Reason: Kan't spell |

Re: What Lowering Spindle brand?
I bought the Summit brand spindles which turned out to be Ground Force. They were 2.5" drop and they fit fine with my 15X8 rally wheels. I had to bend the brake line out of the way a little, but after that it fit perfect.

Re: What Lowering Spindle brand?
I have had 2.5" Western Chassis drop spindles on my 8" ralleys for about 6 or 7 years. Nothing rubs, tires, wheels, or spindle. I did not do any trimming whatsoever. BTW, I am running 255/70/15 BFG Radial TAs.
