Louvered Tailgate?

Does anyone know if anyone makes a Louvered Tailgate for our year of trucks?

Welcome to the board! I haven't seen them, but you could probably have a panel made and weld it in depending on what your skills are.

I was expecting I would have to do something along those lines. I was just hoping that someone had a tailgate in production so that it would have a more finished look than what I know I could achieve. Its a shame no one makes one for anything older than a '73.

I'll prolly switch to a tailgate net for now and remove the tailgate all together. I like the improved gas mileage and my current tailgate is the only thing on the truck that looks in poor shape.

Mar-K makes the weld on covers with 4 or 9 rows of louvers, or a bowtie shape out of louvers, or an embossed bowtie.

Check it out at www.mar-k.com

I have not purchased any of these parts, but have bought a couple of roll pans and other small bed parts from them. I experienced good quality and customer support, and made in the USA in OKC.

Good Luck,
Kent

I have a louvered hood off a 71 that will match your new tailgate for sale. Four rows in great shape.
