I can pick this Blazer up for $3,100. What do you guys think? Here's the Ebay link with more info.

Re: Opinions Needed

There i s probably $3,100 worth of truck there, even if you were to part it out. I'm sure you could sell it in Coos Bay for the asking price if you decide not to keep it. Getting it from Coeur d'Alene to the coast could be expensive. With the engine smoking and a bad radiator, I wouldn't want to drive it that far. Most likely, you'll find far more rust than visible and there are some dents. If you get it running strong, fix the 4wd and make sure the custom steering arm and tie rod are safe, it would make a fun dunes rig.

Re: Opinions Needed

All depends on your plans for it really.

Plans to restore it...I'd pass personelly, you'll have more than the asking price in body work alone into it.
(unless your doing it yourself of course)

No front drive line...makes you wonder 'why', regardless of what the guy states in the add.

Dash is hammered pretty bad.
Dash pad is toast.
Seats are in tough shape.

Not to pooh on it totally but my opinion is that it's going to need a ton of work even to be a driver.

But for 3K, maybe you have those funds & time to throw into it...dunno.

Re: Opinions Needed

Down here in Kalifornia that would be the going price for that. Of course pics are usually better than seeing it in person.

Bouncy lists alot of ads from Washington with some decent ones at this price. Seems they are a little cheaper up there.

Re: Opinions Needed

Bouncy and VT are on it. A CHEAP motor is 2 grand, the body work that you do not know it needs yet if 5 times that. You need to decide where you will stop spending money on this one before you buy it. I bought my 69 SWB on ebay, and told the seller that I would take it, AS LONG AS when I got to look at 550 miles away, that if I was unhappy, I would/could pass. He agreed, and that was 6500 miles and a $4000 ago.

Re: Opinions Needed

Thanks for the replies. I decided to pass on it. My plans were to swap the suspension, wheels, tires and maybe a few other parts to my Blazer and resell it with the stock components from mine. After thinking it over, it would be too much of a hassle and probably not worth the time and headache.
