Visor problems
This is probably a very simple fix, but wanted to run it by you guys before I attack it.
My interior drivers side covered visor is falling down on me when i drive. The problem is at night, the thing doesnt want to stay up and i would rather it go up or down on demand rather than always down. Is there a screw I turn to tighten it, or is this something i will need to replace all together? Its a standard visor, appears to be the original or an original repro. Thanks

Re: Visor problems
No help here, all mine had when I bought it was the rod, I sewed up a piece of old levi's like a curtian with some 1/8" masonite inside and let it flap. I'm short so it doesn't hit me in the forehead.

Re: Visor problems
Try slightly bending the rod to put some friction on the visor.

Re: Visor problems
Thats would I would do. I don't think there is really anything that holds it on to the shaft. It's just friction.

Re: Visor problems
I looked at one I have with a visor. The masonite is attacked to a round spring steel bracket that slides over the rod. The circle doe not close, so you can compress it to get more friction to hold the visor in place.

Re: Visor problems
These are good ideas... also, rather than bending the rod, could i put the female end of the visor into a bench vice and wouldnt that make the fit tighter as well?
I guess i can always bend back the male end, but i cant bend back the female part. Or do i risk ruining the black exterior material of the visor? Thanks

Re: Visor problems
I would think protecting it with a towel and using oak to clamp it would protect the material. Vice grips might be enough.

Re: Visor problems
Just get an outside visor and you can throw those inside ones away for good!
