Running a diesel?
Happy New Year Everyone.
I'm considering picking up an '85 K20 with a dsl and manual trans. Anyone running this combination? Good points, bad points? The body is much better than mine. Thanks.

Re: Running a diesel?
the diesel is good for one thing = fuel economy i would love to have one instead of my 454 gas hog but i cant have the best of both worlds, you need to check what gears it has because diesels dont like high rpm,s besides that a great engine very reliable if kept stock.

Re: Running a diesel?
I had an 82 c30 rollback with the pump turned up and it would run 85+ all day with two cars on and get fair mileage. It wasn't a slug but not super quick either. It was comparable to the 3500 hd we repalced it with. Jay
