Re: 5.3L swap header question
I don't see why they wouldn't work. The '63-'66 frames are essentially the same frame as the '67-'72 frames. Do they specify which motor mounts they are compatable with?

Re: 5.3L swap header question
yes they will...but do you have a manual colum linkage? might cut it close but if you have an automatic I dont see why they wouldnt. Also not quite sure if your stuck on the DT's but check out summit if you just want some budget headers to help free up the motor.....save you some cash for more parts! =)

Re: 5.3L swap header question
I think they were designed to use with the CPP mounts. I am using the original sbc mounts with an adapter plate.

I am using the 4L60E automatic transmission. I chose the DT's simply for fitment, and they are long tube. I've checked out the summit LT headers and Im not quite sure they would fit.

Re: 5.3L swap header question
I also would like to know this. My truck hit a brick wall, but this is an obstacle that I need to tackle soon.
I can add that these work beautifully with the ECE mounts in a 67-72. Hart_Rod used that setup in his build. Look sweet!!
