Fat-Mat or B-Quiet Ultimate???

One of the next steps in my project will be to install some brand of sound deadener. What experiences do you guys have with them? Can you recommend one over the other? I really don't want to spend what it would cost for Dynamat. Fat-Mat and B-Quiet Ultimate seem to be a cheaper alternative.

go to a flooring store and tell them you need some proflex sound deadner and see how much they will sell it to you for... it comes in like a 3ft wide by 100 ft roll

Re: Fat-Mat or B-Quiet Ultimate???

I have usually used a product called Peal and Seal from either lowes or home depot I forget, in the roofing section. It is 6" by 25 foot long roll and was $13 last time I got it. Also you can check out Elemental Designs, they have a few different choices starting at $1 sq/ft http://www.edesignaudio.com/index.php?cPath=1_24
