Un-sprung sping height, ya kinda a wierd question
Does anyone know the unsprung height for stock front springs? I got a pair from a guy who had a mixture of springs and want to make sure they are the right height before I go through the trouble of installing them

Re: Un-sprung sping height, ya kinda a wierd question
I've never had what I believe to be 'stock' components. That being said, I have some CPP 1'' lowering springs I could measure and compare to what I took out of my truck. Should be somewhere in the ball park.

Re: Un-sprung sping height, ya kinda a wierd question
I was going to ask the same question. I have (what I was told to be) 2" drop springs for the front and 4" drop springs for the rear. So far I have only put the front spring in and it looks stock to me. I'm going to take them back out and cut a wrap off, but I what to measure them first.
Anybody have spring height for rear springs? I would really like to know the height of 4" drop springs. I can't cut those. |

According to Moog again, rear spring free height is 13.12". Cargo coils are 13.06" tall free height.

Re: Un-sprung sping height, ya kinda a wierd question
Alright mine measure 13" with a 3/4" coil so it sounds to be stock height. The ones I have on my truck have been cut makin for a rough ride so hopefully these springs and some new shocks will help out!
