squirter....

My 78 keeps squirting washer fluid when the wipers are switched on. Im just wondering if this is a common problem before i start ripping it apart. its cold and snowing outside. I was asuming it was the switch but GMC dealer says that there are none in canada for it and would have to order from a US dealer....

Re: squirter....

my '78 does it too.

first my squirter didnt work at all so i pulled it apart and cleaned it. now it wont turn off if i turn it on.

LMC has a new switch for about $30 but it looks different than ours.

i was almost thinking about just wiring the squirter to a toggle. more switches are cooler right??

Re: squirter....

I got a switch from napa and it was totally different, looks like its for a newer truck, they gave me a refund for the part. But while i had the dash apart i tried using a jumper to test the system and it squirts anyway.... looks like a wireing problem, its done this since i bought it.
