3sp/t221 swap to sm465/np205 questions
I can get a great deal local to my home on a 72 blazer sm465/np205. I have in my 67 a 3sp/t221. Is this a direct swap as far as trans/transfer cross member/drive shafts?
Thanks as always, Don |

This prior post of mine will help you somewhat - I previously swapped my three speed to the SM465 - that didn't require any major mods, but the swap later to the NP205 did require some mods.

Thanks for this info Yukon Jack. I had no idea the cross member and driveshafts would be an issue.

The different location of the rear output shaft definitely makes things a bit more difficult.

Re: 3sp/t221 swap to sm465/np205 questions
Sorry if I am confused but if the 67 and 68's are almost the same and 68's could come with 465's and 205's would all the requires componets like cross members and drive shafts be readly available? The more I read the more it seems like I should change out the T221 since I am getting rid of the 3 spd anyway. If you aquire the right parts shouldn't it be just replacing these parts?
