thanks for the pix.i have wound up with a nice 54 gmc grill and dont have a 54 gmc.just was looking for the difference between 54gmc and 54 chevy because i have the 54 chevy cab .

GMC is a different animal. Completely different dash. Old Sub's is the first one I'd ever seen. Last summer at a swap someone had all the gauges and everything for a GMC but they were around $150 or so. 2 panels and some gauges! I've paid less for a complete truck...

I think I have four or five of those setups and no they are NOT for sale.
A couple years ago I bought a complete set of those gauges in the panels, a complete '54 chrome grill, the lower windshield garnish, a Hydra-Matic shifter and Hydra-Matic hood emblems and maybe a few other small things for $100. Just keep your eyes open if you're looking. Since the parts were in California I spent much more on gas and hotel than I paid for the parts. Fortunately I had other reasons for making the trip. The '55 to '59 is very similar, but the panels are different. Should you be shopping for a set make sure you know which you want. |

Here is a couple picts. of my 54's dash. dont know if i like it as much as the older style dash's with the 2 round gauges. it is different though i havent seen to many trucks restored with this style.
