Which Junkyard Radiator
Installing 350 with 700R in my 65 project - Want to install (junkyard) radiator with trans cooler built in - Any suggestions on any particular donor vehicle (later model) I should be looking for out there in junkyard land that will drop in without a lot of fabrication. Maybe someone has done this and can save me some walking? Thanks

Re: Which Junkyard Radiator
Damn. I dont know if there is anything that will work late model. Everything I can think of is a 2 core that is much wider than taller. Good luck though.

Re: Which Junkyard Radiator
The only OEM radiator that I know of that will fit without much modification is the ones for the '67-'69 Camaro's and Nova's as well as the ''68-'69 Chevelle/Malibu's . Those are crossflow radiators. If you would rather stay with a downflow radiator, the '65-'66 Impala/Caprice's and the '64-'66 Chevelle/Malibu's. However most of these will not be readily available in the wrecking yards. As for any later model radiators, they are mostly crossflow's and are typically too wide to fit without modifying the inner fenders. A popular retrofit radiator in these trucks are the universal aluminum radiators found at Summit and Jegs. They are available with trans coolers.

Re: Which Junkyard Radiator
For WIW, I went with one from Advance Auto- they price matched RockAuto.com and have a decent warranty. It was around $200.
