Too bad you could not keep the gun, I guess up your way you can not have any guns. If it was me I would be happy as hell, and then went shooting..

update.... motor is at the machine shop and it was found that the there was some slop in the back and fourth crank-end movement. I believe this slop was due to the crank being incorrectly ground first time engine was built. So I had a crank sitting around that was the same, so its off to get ground and balanced with the rest of the rotating assmebly. I was fairly close to stroking it to a 383 but decided to stick with a 350 due to having a spare crank. I might have gone the 383 route if I had to buy a crank. The owner of the shop is a great guy and is taking the time to show me the process step by step. I never had the chance to take this in highschool. Next major thing to come is a 4/6 drop and 3.42 posi.

Nice truck Vern. What kind of posi are you going with? I'm looking to upgrade mine soon.

I'm going to be swapping out the open 3.07 12 bolt for a 3.42 10 bolt gov-lock system because I have 10 bolt already with posi track. While the 12 bolt is out and money allows I'm going to have it built up. We'll see how long the 10 bolt lasts.
