Squeezable fuel clamps

Where can you get the original style squeezable fuel clamps for the fuel line. I would rather use these than the screw hose clamps. Your thoughts

All WIX inline fuel filters (for rubber line, not those with screw on fittings) include short pieces of hose and four of the greenish flat-spring clamps. Most people throw them away so it shouldn't be that hard to find some laying around.

funny thing is that is what the auto place told me. I am replacing all the fule lines on my truck and need a bunch. I guess I will go to the screw in clamps.

Go to a few shops and see if they have any engine cores sitting around. I always kept the extra clamps when we put a used engine in. They might let you have them. You could probably order some from a dealership too.

those things arent as good as the ones that screw tight.. thats why you can find em used.. Id put the good screw on ones and forget those squeeze jobs

I think that is what I am going to do. I can get a box of 10 for like $2. might as well just do it. thanks

There's a school of thought that says that the spring-tension clamps are better in some applications because they will maintain a constant pressure if the hose changes shape, etc. whereas the screw clamps will not.

I don't think it matters that much one way or the other if either clamp is properly installed. Personally, I like the Awab screw clamps, stainless, embossed band, etc. - there's a couple marine-supply stores that sell them reasonably cheap in box-size quantities.

There's also the Oetiker clamps as are used on some hoses, CV boots, etc. but those need special pliers to crimp them properly.

I used these on my fuel lines, I don't see how any other kind of clamp can be better.

I prefer the stock spring loaded ones. Sounds like you may have an excuse to go scrounging at the junkyard. Ive never had one fail and they are so easy to take on and off. Most people over torque the ones that use the screw and then they fail. Thats why I like the spring style, they are fool proof.

No need for fool proof parts if you are not a fool just kidding man. I see your point, I like the screw tight ones though. they are easier to find

You can buy band style clamps that work great for fuel systems.
