I uses some 4x4's if needed. but normally I jack from under the diffs. Actually i always do unless offroad. I have also used my engine hoist to lift my truck with out the bed on. One of my best tools I have found so many good uses for that thing from loading axles to lifting beds to pulling stumps!

This why I bought 12 ton jack stands. They are close to 3 feet tall.
