i`m looking at a `53 chevy pickup shortbed and have no place to put it right now does anyone have measurements from bumper to bumper and without the bumper and how wide. i hope to rent a shed till i can make room. thanks for the help

Since my 53 is in pieces right now, this is just an approximate figure:
72" x 192"
The width should be accurate because my bed is still assembled. And, I'd say I'm within a couple inches of the length. That figure is with both bumpers on. You'll probably be about a foot shorter with the bumpers removed.

I measured my Suburban just an hour ago wondering if I can squeese it into my shop. It is 72 inches wide and including front and rear bumpers 198 inches long or six feet wide by sixteen and a half feet long.

My measurements assumed I'd fold the mirrors in or let them hang over something, if you need to account for mirrors too you may need to measure them because they vary so much in style and width.

thanks everybody ya`ll been very helpful. to bad for me i`m just going to have to wait on this truck. the shed is only 10X12X8 theres about a 4 foot difference. thanks again
