The services bought these trucks directly from the factory, they(Green Suitor's) didnt work on them like HMMWV's, there were civilian motorpools back then that did all the work on the trucks, so its hard to tell what was changed out. Just like the Army that auctions off its surplus and GSA vehicles, the rest of the services do the same. I would really have to see the paperwork on the sale in 2003 for that truck, I just cant imagine the Airforce holding on to that truck till 03 without some weird situation. That truck should have been sold from the service no later than 10 years after purchase.
Got to see some paperwork on this one....... When the services buy trucks, they order them through GSA, so its hard to tell what they got on the order, but they didnt get fully loaded options, most of these trucks are base models with some good options, but most SPIDS are full of badging options that take up alot of space but dont mean nothing.
