my old 82 fixer upper

This is my old 82 swb. I got it for a song and dance about a year ago. Not moving quite as fast as I would like, but it's coming along. You know how it is when your a poor guy with a family to support. It'll get there one day! So,far I have done some interior work, took the hood and exchanged it for an all steel cowl (the one that was on it was a steel hood with a fiberglass scoop molded on it), I have also replaced about 90% of the brake equipment, all shocks, pitman arm,u-joints,front wheel bearings, all new tires, installed a stereo and did some cosmetics and clean up on the engine compartment and a few more small things. Not any thing major, just picking away at it.

Looks like a nice truck to start with. And it sounds like you are making smart progress on it. Keep at it. Most us have to take a while to get these things how we want them.

Re: my old 82 fixer upper

I thought I already posted this....? any way, I leveled up my bed with the washers between the bed and frame trick. I also put a little black paint on my grille. There not really in the right order, but below are before and after pics of the bed and the grille.
