is this supposed to be there....?

theres this upturned lip on the front of my frame, just curious if its supposed to be like this.

yeah, but mine has smoother edges on it, kinda crecent shaped...

what year is your truck? mines a 67 and its rounded as well, I bet it was for exh manifold clearance, my buddy actually smoothed his down.

That's for big block fuel pump clearance

Or in my case with an LSx engine: AC compressor clearance

It is there on my 65 too, but for clearance for the oil filter on a 6 cyl....

I didnt think about that.Mine was a straight 6 truck too,,would that be the main reason for this? Mine is also more curved at the front.

crazay, yeah not even sure what this truck came with, when i got it there was nothing occupying the engine bay.
