New Alternator?
I saw that the voltage meter on my 81 C-10 (with a 305) was pegging low while I was driving even though the battery is only two months old. Last night it was hard to start, so im guessin i need a new alternator. I called a few places and I was told that they were less than $30 bucks with the core. I was surprised how cheap that was. Any suggestions on a certain type or brand I should look for? Any that has a better record than others?

With you in the area call Midwest Electrical at 972-680-8322 and ask for Fritz the owner. He hooked me up with a new chrome 120 amp alt. for $120. He's in Richardson and has tons of them in stock. He gurantees his stuff. While I was waiting in mine to get finished up a lady driver from the local Napa store came in to get a alt. from him to place in their box to sell to a customer. If Napa is using him I know he's the guy to use.
Tell him Steve with the camo truck and Brandon (big guy that bought chrome alternator) from the Southern Bowties Club told you about him and he'll hook you up.
