Why does the bed just look like it's not the right one? It looks like it's been trimmed down.

I forgot to lose the spots also!!
The fact that you cant see the whole rear fender in the photo and you can only see the rims and that makes the bed look too small, it is the same as my 55 1st series

nothing wrong with that pic, that truck looks just the way its supposed to look. ditch the wires, and go with a set of Ralleys, that's what mine had on it.

My '53 has a different bed then the '54 and '55 first series the side rails are at more of an angle that may be why it looks funny. On the earlier models the bed does look taller.
