I'm contemplating putting a stock trailing arm set up on my Jimmy. I want the handling and bagging advantages. Looking at a friends, it looks like I can get the arms, crossmember and maybe brake lines. Is that it? Will I have problems due to the short wheel base of my Jimmy (I know my Jimmy's short LOL).

I don't know if there are two different sizes of trailing arms, I doubt it. Anyway my factory 2wd Jimmy has trailing arms.

I've found thats theres only one trailing arm length. What about the frame panhard bar mount? You'll need to get that and probably get the extended panhard bar kit from ECE so you can attach it to the trailing arm cuz your rear end probably doesn't have the provision for it

That makes since. I'm also wondering about the frame. I believe the 4x4 Jimmy/Blaze is different. I'm wondering if a stock crossmember will work or should I fab one????? Thanks for the help guys, keep it coming!

i thought the bend in the frame where the coils hook up too is where the the 4x4 frames differ.... Maybe some measurement can help you out. Tell me if you need any I'll be glad to help you out with this info cause I am also curious of what must be done to switch.

Looks like all I need is the crossmember. I may have to modify it, but it looks straight foward. It will be awhile before I'm ready to do this. I'll post pics when/if I do it. Thanks a ton for the pics!

Come on guys, no one else has done this or thought about it? I guess all I really need to know is if the rear part of the frame is different between the two Jimmy's/Blazer's (2wd vs 4x4).
