One more plus to buying locally (within a reasonable driving distance) is that you will have a real neck to get your grubby grabbers around if things aren't right.

Plus as Sinister mentioned, you get to look at and touch each piece before you load them up and haul them home that way.

Sheet metal and shiny trim seem to be the two items where there is a great disparity on quality of all the things we put on our trucks.

On engine and chassis parts as long as we stick with name brands it doesn't usually matter who we get it from if the deal and service are good.
