Newbie in Georgia

Hello all. Newbie here in Canton Georgia. I have had a few 67-72 pickups before, but now my son is 10 and loves working on stuff. I am thinking now is the time to find the family project. Love all the pictures here and info, just great! I am looking for pre 72 chevy, preferably shortbed. I worked in a body shop for 10 years and have my own welder and equipment so that is not an issue. Just looking for something complete needing resto. Cash is always an issue....LOL. Looking to start with something anywhere from 500-750 or less....dreaming...haha. So hello everyone....have a great weekend!!

Hey Mike welcome aboard. I'm just up the road in ball ground. I'm also a body man. I work at Billy Howell ford in cumming. We just had a get together at williamsons BBQ in canton. We had 12 guys show up off the board.

Re: Newbie in Georgia

Thanks....I actually stopped up there with my daughter to get some BBQ and seen some of the old trucks. I used to be a bodyman and not to strike a nerve, but am now managing a unit of insurance adjusters. Hope that does not bother anyone....LOL. I am currently working on finding my project and should soon have it. I will then post some pics and let the addiction begin...LOL. Thanks for the welcome.

Re: Newbie in Georgia

Well, searched ebay, craigslist and have drove around the country roads still searching for the project. Amazing how people will have something listed for sale and not even email you back or anything.....Oh well.....The searching continues. Have a great Easter and fun weekend everyone!
