My very own build thread 85 Gmc Suburban
It wont be much of a build but this thing will change a little so I figured I'd start a build thread. After selling some of the extra parts this week that came witht his thing you guys wouldnt believe how little $$ I have into this truck
I'll be changing some of the bag setup and painting it in a few weeks hopefully. I was going to start working on getting the rear lower today but with all the rain/snow we got I dont think I would have made it out of it's parking spot . Anyway, here are some pictures of how it looks now. I should have some updates soon

Re: My very own build thread 85 Gmc Suburban
Glad to see you started a build thread for this bad boy. It's gonna be sweet!
Does your wife even know about this one yet?

Well she know's there is/was a crew cab and she saw the suburban in the driveway but I think she is done asking questions. She is very understanding ha ha

Re: My very own build thread 85 Gmc Suburban
ok so no pictures with this update but I did get a chance to order new air hose, air tank, compressor, and some shorty headers. That should be everything I need to move the valves ... off the front fender so I can pull the inners and drop the front of this thing some more.
I was supposed to be working on someones stereo install all week but I've had family in town and a couple of snow storms have set me back, looks like I have a FULL day tomorrow to get it done by Sunday morning I also picked up the rest of the coy's for the blazer, now all I need is the tires!!

Re: My very own build thread 85 Gmc Suburban
I got a little bit done this weekend but still need my air line, other parts before I can do any real work. I did manage to get the wheels swapped out for the rally wheels that were on my blazer. I also got a pair of lowering shackles for the rear but I think I'll wait until I get the other stuff before putting them on.
I think it looks much better with the rally's (pardon the mud all over it still pretty wet here ha ha)

Re: My very own build thread 85 Gmc Suburban
The rally wheels helped a ton! Just picture it painted. Can't wait to see it (next weekend). Sorry again about today. Once I move it will be a lot easier.

Re: My very own build thread 85 Gmc Suburban
Well, if Sarah gets the job in south metro, we will move toward the Erie area. Or that direction anyway.
So, what color ideas do you have now?

Not 100% sure on the colors yet but I'm thinking blue/white, blue/silver or just redo the factory colors. Maybe I'll post a poll to see what the masses think I better decide quick because I'm putting the deposit down for the paint booth tomorrow.

Re: My very own build thread 85 Gmc Suburban
I think thats what I'll end doing, and the blaze will end up solid black.

Re: My very own build thread 85 Gmc Suburban
That'd be easy enough. I think it will look good. And the Blazer could look good in anything...even to bring back an early 90s neon graphics scheme.

Re: My very own build thread 85 Gmc Suburban
So I think the truck A.D.D has kicked in again and I think I'm going to get rid of this suburban. I really want to finish my blazer and the money I get for this I can use for my bag setup/4 link.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/c...p?product=4253 Unless of course it doesnt sell in the next couple weeks

Re: My very own build thread 85 Gmc Suburban
This guy has a problem!
Well kill this thread and get one going for the Blazer. You need the motivation to finish it. You only have a month and 9 days you know.
