Fuel Gauge
New guy here, i tried searching couldnt find anything. Putting a painless harness in my truck now im hooking up my gauges and little confused about my fuel gauge. I know the sender wire goes to one side but the other stud does that get a full 12 volt or does it get reduced down? Thanks

Re: Fuel Gauge
It needs a resistor and I think I read that the information on the conversion is somewhere on the Painless site

Re: Fuel Gauge
JW
One is ground, one is gauge power and needs a "runtz" voltage reducer and the pink goes to the tank sending unit. Just below the bulb (center of gauge) is for the pink wire and the two terminals below that are for power and ground. The wiring diagrams are readly available on the internet. Hope this helped. Jim |
