Exclamation Coilover mounts?

Im wondering if mounting a coilover with the eyes opposing each other would cause a problem by stressing the upper or lower mounts during the travel of the suspension? Anyone know if this would be ok? I dont have any experience with coilovers.

Heres a picture of what im talking about...(needs gussets on both mounts, just mock-up)

Thanks for any info.

Re: Coilover mounts?

I've been told it will break the shock when the suspension twist. I always mount them parallel to each other if it's a coil over or just a shock.

Re: Coilover mounts?

You should cycle the suspension, without the coil spring on it. Which is The only true way to know because its different in every app and changes by how much misalignment the shock allows.

And any reason for running a bushing instead of a misalignment spacer?

Re: Coilover mounts?

I would be conserned if the top mount doesn't have a hine (swivel) type mount ...I would think it would bind..may not because there pretty staight up and down but it looks like trave maybe the issue not the binding
