On my 70, I swapped in a 72 front axel and converted it to disc. Stops great.

What's your setup. Are you running big tires and a lift?

Re: 69 BLAZER k5 horrid braking
I'm running knuckles, hubs, and brakes off an '84 K5 on my front axle and a '72 Bendix booster with braided stainless lines. Rear is original style. Brakes work better than I can manage with the slow steering and worn out springs.

Re: 69 BLAZER k5 horrid braking
Stock brakes on our 72 with 33 inch tires and they work well enough. It will lock the tires up, found that out already
