Re: self adjusting TCI TV CABLE BRACKET ??
Bow Tie Overdrives has had such kits available for quite awhile and in fact cover more carbs including Q-jets. There are a number of factors for proper cable adjustment including an arc, throttle open 1/4 when perpendicular to carb base, length of pull when at full throttle, etc. All the cables self adjust on set up, but all the other factors have to be figured in. That's why I think they would be a good idea as they have a cam system that provides the 70 degree arc. I don't have one of the carbs covered as mine is currently a rochester 2 bbl. I had to make a bracket and according to a pressure check in each gear, it seems to work okay. Next winter when I replace the 307 with a 350 Q jet, it will have one of the engineered systems.
There is also a constant pressure valve body made by TCI that supposedly protects against improper TV cable adjustment and transmission damage. It is around $200. Never used one so can't say how they work but it seems like a fairly inexpensive insurance policy if you had a very expensive 700R4 or 200 4R.
