I have an oppurtunity to get a very straight lwb with the storage box on the passenger side, it has no tailgate but thats okay. The door appears to be in excellent shape. What a fair price for something like this.Does anyone have any experience with buying one of these things?

i bought the exact bed you're describing a couple years back at a wrecking yard here in calif. for $350.00. i tried convincing the counter person that it was a little high for a longbed but he wouldn't come down and the bed is 99,9999999% flawless so i paid his price.
had it not had a rustfree toolbox door on it i would have never bought it.
i know, i'm a cheap S.O.B., lol.

It would bring twice that here in the midwest to the right person.

In Texas if that bed is straight it would go for about $5.00 as we use them to store trash and junk parts in. HEHE. Get with me I may want it for the GMC.
