Re: ???'s on wheels,pics
Did I beat Mark with a thread assist? Most of these are for 5 lug conversion.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=379110 The new trucks have the same 6 lug bolt pattern, though the lug size changed and the offsets are different. If you don't mind running spacer/adapters I don't see why you couldn't use anything made for the present trucks.

Re: ???'s on wheels,pics
Sorry, I was busy in the garage playing with my truck!
And as for the guy at the counter, obviously he is incompetent beyond what his computer tells him.

Re: ???'s on wheels,pics
The newer wheels use a smaller hub bore, so I would agree with Slow Build's comments, an adaptor may be needed.
Another option would be for 88-98 3/4ton apps that used 6x5.5''.

Re: ???'s on wheels,pics
I know there has got to still be lots of 6 x 5.5 bolt pattern wheels available. Sounds like that guy is just plain lazy. What style of wheels are you looking for?
I can't help you with a local source for wheels, but there are plenty that you can order from places like Summit racing, Jegs, Wheel vintiques, Stockton wheel, etc.

Every wheel outlet in every town/city has access to unlimited 6 on 5.5 wheel choices, so finding nearly any style and size is available.

The guy at the tire/wheel store is a complete idiot. He's only as smart as his wheel books and since they don't go back that far.... He's no different that all the idiot's at the local parts stores that don't know jack about autos other than what their parts books tell them.
Anything that that will fit a Toyota HiLux/Tachoma 4x4 will fit your truck not to mention god know what else that's been built over the last 50 years that use the 6x5.5 bolt pattern. |

Re: ???'s on wheels,pics
Apparently US Army issued Blazers in the 70s had steel 15 x 8 6 lug rims!! Jus tblack steelies, not rallys. There is a guy in Kansas on Craigslist named Shannon that is selling a set of four. I needed only one and bought one rim to arrive next week. They have the 4 little dimples for mounting the poverty caps too!
