Anyone consider using Isis for wiring?

I have been looking at replacing my wiring in my truck, I am looking at Isis system for replacement. Has anyone had any experience with this? What about cost?

I have never heard of it before. Seems interesting. It also seems to be for more modern vehicles with a lot of systems. It also may be expensive. A typical wiring harness for a 60--66 might be as little as 150 on up to 5-600 bucks. My builds to date are more to the restoration side of things, so I would not consider this system at this time.
You've been looking in to it. How much does Isis cost?

A "basic" kit, not exactly sure what it includes is a clean G. I have seen some of the diy car shows use this kit, very interesting setup but probably over kill on a resto type of truck. If you have all types of modern bells and whistles, or extra cash, it may be best. I like the features for checking for broke circuits, burnt bulbs, anti theft, and easy install.

Uh, that's damn near a mortgage payment. Not for this kid. I'll stick with good old ugly plastic wiring. But it was a nice thought.

i think an AAW harness is a good deal for the money, plus you can upgrade, or just replace a certain section at a time..plus you can get all the connectors at one place..

This system would not be worth using on a truck. The reason is both the remote module and the "brain would be located inside the cab. The way the system works is you have a "brain in the front of the vehicle, and a remote module at the rear of the vehicle. Then you run battery power and communication to the rear. The rear lights connect to the remote module.

It appears one could put the remote module under hood and Brain in cab. THis would reduce the wiring substancially. Seems like it might also have benifits if one were to wire up power windows or mirrors.
