Cab Swap and Fuel Gauge Wiring dilema...
Hi....its my first post here...so dont be too hard on me....LOL
Have a 80 Chev Flatbed with a carburated 454 ...that I had to swap to a better less rusty cab....the new cab is from an 84 Half Ton (fuel injected I think). The fuel tanks and tank switch (on the frrame) is the original 3 port (1980) so the fuel gauge in the new cab is pegged at past full....I noticed that the dash switch on the new cab has 5 wires coming off of it...and the fuel tank switch on the frame from the newer truck is a 6 port....where as the old truck is the 3 port switch with only 4 wires on the dash switch... Any way to get the fuel gauge to read correctly and the tank switch to work right? HELP....and thanks in advance.... Steve |
