Temp gauge question.
Want to know if there is any way to hook up another electronic temp gauge to my existing temp sender and find out what the temp really is on the Blazer. I don't know if I trust my old one yet, you know, trust but verify. I saw two kinds of gauges in the store, one that had a huge sample line on the back and another that was ran on an electric line. The stock gauge only read cold or hot so I don't know what the temps are supposed to be.

Re: Temp gauge question.
There are other locations on the intake or heads that have 1/2" npt threads, as long as it is in a water jacket you could double up a coolant temp. gauge to get a reading. Careful with the sending unit, sometimes they are differant values and that could be knocking your readings out of whack.

Re: Temp gauge question.
Might be a little difficult to know that the sending unit is gonna be correct for a newer gauge. How about just hooking the new one up with the sending unit in a different location on the block?
