Hummer wheels again!
Need a set of wheels for the upgrade. Looking at the high end beadlocks, rock 8's, but just might want to go with a set of recentered H1's! Want to run a 40x13.50R17" Goodyear MTR. I know some of you guy's are running these wheels, any help here?

Re: Hummer wheels again!
My old gallery had pics of my H1s when i was getting them togeather but I lost thoes pics...above is the best I have right now.. Over at Pirate4x4 there is a vendor named 402 something something that sells recentered H1s. I'll head over that way and find it... I recommened you get the style that has the "stamped" center and not the "flat" steel center. Also inorder to take advantage of the "double" beadlock feature you need an insert. some take the magnesium (sp?) runflats and cut them down, some use rubber runflats...I choose to use PVC inserts, lightest insert and they work great. I can run at 0psi and not loose and bead, not that I run them like that, 8-10 psi seams nice. If you plan on alot of rockcrawling then "rock rings" are recomended to keep the wheel lip from bending on a rock. I don't have rings yet but someday I may add something. These weels are heavy as is so adding rings is yet more weight. I am not a hardcore rock crawler but I do like to follow them and "go around" the hardcore obsticals when ever possiable, I hate breaking down on the trail so I won't push it if I can avoid it..been ther done that not going back hahahahaha Here it is ~ 406 YJ is his board name: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=746158
