I know this isn't the rear tail light but it might shine some light on the subject if you haven't already read this info.

Alexis,
That's a good post on that option with the side marker. Just saw that in a recent truck mag. But they didn't show any details on it.

I don't have side markers other wise I would use that style of filler.

Looks a bit tough to use though. Better have small hands to get the cap on/off.

Mario, would it help to have the tail light swing sideways instead of down? You may have already thought about that, but if your having clearance problems swining it down, maybe sideways would help. Since the tail light is really narrow you wouldn't need as big of a arm to swing it out as you do when you flip it down. Like i said, i'm just throwing out some ideas, just happen to think about a 57 chevy i saw that had the tail thing swing sideways to get to the filler. Let me know if that helps you out any.

I actually foung a hinge for a Cabinet that I am fabbing my tail light housing to fit. I have the hing mounted to the housing I just need to mount it to the box side and see if it works the way I think it will. Pics will follow if it works out they will be posted later this week.

the reason i went down w/ mine was so i would have room to get my hand in to open up the filler cap, sorry i dont have any pics im away from home for a week. i did have to cut the crap out from under it though in order to have room.
