67 4x4 frame swap
Greetings guys, I have a question regarding a frame swap..here goes. I have a 1967 snb and have been searching for a 67-72 4x4 frame and running gear..no such luck. My question is I have found a complete 1974 1/2 ton frame and running gear, will the 67 cab, front clip, and bed drop right on? are the frames the same? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 67 4x4 frame swap
Welcome Sean, noticed you were in Kansas too. No, they won't directly drop on. You will have to reuse the old mounts for the body and I believe make new ones for the bed. Go to the 4x4 section of this site and do a search, it comes up pretty often over there. Good luck Trevor

Re: 67 4x4 frame swap
The 74 has a drop in the frame under the cab so making it fit will be really hard (except for a 4X4 you could put 3" lift kit on front engine mounts to make up the difference). Also the rear mounts are inboard on the later truck vice outboard on the earlier one. The bed mounts on 67-72 are 3" higher than the rear cab mounts while the later frame is straight back.
