Re: 1966 C10 factory wheel color?
"There was a full wheel disk for 60-61" Aero, please explain/show.
GMC wheels were indeed white. And the photo of the trucks on the rail cars by Mt Shasta has both Chevy and GMC trucks on it. The white wheeled ones are indeed GMCs. You can tell from the 2-tone patterns on the flanks. |

Re: 1966 C10 factory wheel color?
Custom steering wheel & chrome horn ring assembly is a great thing, but your's is specific to the '60-'65, so you should try to find one specific to the '66. I personally like the appearance of the '60-'65 Custom steering wheel & chrome horn ring assembly better than the '66 Custom steering wheel & chrome horn ring, but if you are looking for original equipment options, the attached photo is the correct style for the '66, sans the steering wheel cover.

Re: 1966 C10 factory wheel color?
I think when they list a color as poly, their refering to metallic.

Re: 1966 C10 factory wheel color?
The issue is the factory painting rules, not the body color name. But here is the color I was thinking of when I described the turquiose metallic and '66 3/4 ton 4X4 in photo I documented above. I won't even get into the correct name for the white: cameo white, off white, ivory, pure white, frost white, white.
