Hey guys. take a look at our 71 C30
Hey, I have been browsing around on the board for a few weeks, You guys share some great info and have some awesome trucks.
I figured that you guys might like our 71 C30. This truck is used in Fire Department competitions here on Long Island, New York where we race against other fire department in New York. Our team's name is the Piston Knockers" and we are from the North Lindenhurst Volunteer Fire Department. The truck's odometer stopped in 1971 at 68 miles when the truck was origionaly turned into it's current form. It has a a 468ci big block in it that makes about 700 horse power and 680 feet pounds of torque. Here are a few pics of the truck, and also a few videos of what we do in the competitions with it! Haha. No, not at all street legal, when the custom rear half of the truck was build they never even bothered to have the brake lights connected back up. Although, it does get driven up and down the main streets from time to time, being that it is a fire department vehicle, the cops would never say anythig to us! Its funny sitting at a light when a high school kid andwhat he thinks is his bad ass mustang pulls up beside you, you dont even need to put it in drive, just punch the gas pedel in neutral and deflate his ego with the noise!
