I have a new 20 gallon unit from summit with sending unit and was thinking about using it as an aux but I dont have any more room to mount it under the bed as I have a blazer tank under there already, which means it goes in the bed. Any of yo guys have pics of these tanks in the bed. I need some ideas here

Is this a race truck or a driver? If it's a racer mount it in the rear of the bed for better traction. If it's a driver, mount it in the front so you can still use the bed for hauling stuff. I'm sure it will look good no matter where you put it.

sorry no pics-but i'm planning to mount mine ( probably same as yours) just behind the cab in the bed. am going to sink it down as far as possible. i'm just going to have a plywood bed anyway, i figure to get maybe 1/2 half of it below bed level. my only concern is the drive shaft if something should happen to it, might smack into the tank? so i'll install a shield to protect it. i have seen one or two pics on here with the tank in this position. i have a long bed so i will still have over 6' of working bed left. if i'm lucky i'll get it done this year.

yeah me too I have a longbed as well but a steel floor so Im actually going to have to to fab mounts to compensate for the little drop off on the bottom where the lines hook up to, and no its not a racer ( but I like to drive it like it was) so up in the front of the bed it goes

I think it will look just fine. We run around with 100 gallon diesel tanks in our trucks all the time. My question is, do you need 20 gallons of fuel on board? Do you do a lot of driving or are you far away from a gas station? I keep all that diesel on board because my other truck is used as a plow truck and we tend to plow for days and nights on end so it's easier to fuel up when I want out of the transfer tank than it is to go find a station, hope they are open and hope their fuel isn't junk.
