i have a chance to buy a 67 short fleetside bed--which i do not need. on a scale of 1 thru 10 it's a strong 9+, no rust, no bondo,a couple dings smaller than a dime. it has a so so chevy tailgate with it. i know 67 is all by itself, just curious what some of you would pay for a mint 67 short fleetside bed. he wants top dollar in my opinion so i'm not sure it's worth buying to try and make a buck or two.
opinions please.

Sold one here in NH for $1000. It was a rust-free TX bed with mint steel floor. Pass side was dented badly on mine but I sold it with a brand new aftermarket bedside. I know I sold it for too little but I wanted to move it. It's got to be worth more than $500 even in sunny CA

he wanted a grand for it but needs to move it--it's in his father's garage and his dad wants it gone. i'll let him sit on it a week or so, i worked him down some today and hopefully he'll come down more in a week--especially if his dad puts pressure on him. one of my co-workers lives across the street fom him so i can keep tabs on it.

Jerry, if I had not been "motivated", I could have easily held out for $1500 for a rust/dent free bed like what you describe. I don't know your market in CA, but at $1000 cost, you'll probably won't make a big profit on it, but you already knew that! Keep working on him!
