Need help with Rally Wheel price at Junkyard - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hi guys, I need one Rally Wheel and I found one at my local wrecking yard. He would not give me a price until he researches it's value. Its your typical 15" X 8' 5X5 early 80's silver with the chrome bow tie center cap. Both in fair condition. What is the fair market value for this. Thanks

he has to research??? sounds like he`s a top dollar junkyard. I would pay more than 35 from a yard. make sure its a true 15x8 and not a 15x7 from a van

Around $10-$15 with out hardware, and around $25 with cap and ring. If it is complete and really nice, maybe as high as $35, but that is extreme i think. Eric

SOUNDS LIKE A BONEHEAD TO ME. THIS GUY EITHER DOESN'T KNOW CRAP ABOUT SCRAP, OR WANTS EVERY LAST PENNY HE CAN GET OUT OF YOU. I WOULDN'T DEAL WITH HIM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I can't believe sometimes what people want for these wheels, don't pay more than $20.00, If you're not in a hurry, look around they made billions and billions of these wheels,just like Mc Donalds.

I agree here they go for $15 for the wheel,$3 for beauty ring and $5 for cap.

I've sold 3 sets and I get $20 per wheel. They don't sell fast, but they sell so I think $20 is the true market value on these wheels. Add a few bucks for rings and caps.

X2 on that! Never been to a yard and they tell me they have to research it, and I was going with my Dad to yards in my diapers. That was before computers though, LOL.

But on a serious note c/10 king is right. Go to some area flea markets and you may luck up. These wheels are plentiful.

van rallies are 6.5" ... truck rallies came in both 7" & 8" widths

offer the guy $20 ... if he says no then let him keep his wheel

I posted on CL on fri afternoon that I was looking for a set of 6 lug rallies.The guy met me sat am with all 4 and trim and caps for $120.I probably could have gotten a better deal if I had waited a few days but I had just finished the disc swap and wanted to drive it.
